TiE Delhi in association with Canon India Limited, presents – TiEcon Delhi Photo Contest 2009. We invite amateur and professional photographers from across the country to participate in this unique initiative of TiE Delhi Chapter. The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), representing Talent, Ideas and Enterprise, is a global not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of entrepreneurship. With 53 chapters across 12 countries TiE’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, and education. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, TiE’s focus is on generating and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs. Through this photo contest we wish to showcase the spirit of entrepreneurship. An entrepreneur’s journey is full of challenges & achievements, a journey which inspires more people to come forward and realize their dreams to reality. This enterprising spirit can be found at home, at work, on the streets, amongst nature and anywhere around us when we look beyond the obvious.
Theme
TiE Delhi would like to invite everyone who is an “entrepreneur by heart” to put on their creative hats, pick up a camera and capture ‘What they are looking at’. Look through your photo collection for something that escaped your attention earlier. Theme being “Entrepreneurship”, this could be from:-
- Your own workplace
- The business environment in which you operate
- Human Emotions of an Entrepreneur
- Memories of your days of struggle
- On the streets
- In natural surroundings
Jury
The contest will be judged by a panel of experts from Canon India and TiE Delhi. The winning photographs will be selected based on:-
- How the theme of the contest has been captured
- The artistic quality and impact
Awards
There will be three winners from this competition. They will be given an award at the Gala Dinner Celebration evening.
Best work of art from the competition will be displayed at the conference for everyone to view and purchase. Proceeds of this sale under your name will be donated to “India Sponsor Foundation”.
Submission Procedure
Photos must be submitted as JPEG images and sent via email to [email protected]. The digital photographs should not be more than 800 pixels on the longest side, high resolution (300dpi) and not exceed 4MB. Every participant can submit a maximum of 4 photographs. The photographs should be submitted with a title & caption.
Submission Deadlines
All entries must be submitted by September 10th, 2009 by 20:00 hrs. TiE Delhi reserves the right to extend the submission deadline if necessary. Winners will be notified at TiEcon Delhi 2009 at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi on September 18th gala dinner night and will be notified by email.
