TiE is the sole owner of the information collected on www.tiecon-delhi.org. TiE collects Personal Information from users at several points on our web site. As used in this Privacy Policy, "Personal Information" means any information that is linked to User's identity such as Name, Street address, Telephone number, Age and e-mail address etc. The site you entered may collect some or all of these types of Personal Information through a sweepstakes, contest, game, survey, questionnaire or promotion, or a registration form.

Registration

In order to participate in TiEcon Delhi 2012, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give contact information (such as name and e-mail address). We use this information to contact the user about services on our site for which he/she has expressed interest. You may require registration in order for you to become a member and/or participate in TiEcon Delhi 2012 and other activities.

Refund Policy

We entertain 'NO REFUND POLICY' for any transactions. As an exception incase a members credit card has been charged more than once due to any reason, we undertake to Refund excess money. Information Use Personal information is collected and used primarily for Membership and participating in TiEcon Delhi 2012. In particular, a user's shipping and billing addresses are used for billing and sending Invites to the user. In addition to the primary purposes for which personal information is collected, we may use the personal information to contact a user to confirm information related to his/her registration.

Profile

We store information that we collect through cookies, log files, clear gifs, and/or third parties to create a profile of our users. A profile is stored information that we keep on individual users that details their viewing preferences. Consequently, collected information is tied to the users personally identifiable information to provide offers and improve the content of the site for the user. This profile is used to tailor a user's visit to our Web site, and to direct pertinent marketing promotions to them. We do not share your profile with other third parties.

Cookies

We employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), in our HTML-based e-mails to let us know which e-mails the recipients have opened. Clear gifs are tiny graphics about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Clear gifs are tied to user's personally identifiable information. [For example, Direct Mailing campaigns both postal mails and e-Mails] When the user signs up for these particular services, we share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These third parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Choice/Opt-out

Our users are given the opportunity to 'opt-out' of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our site at the point where we ask for information. For example, our order form has an 'opt-out' mechanism so users who buy a product from us, but don't want any marketing material, can keep their email address off of our lists.
