Sawhney is the Associate Dean for Digital Innovation at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. He is a globally recognized scholar, consultant and speaker in innovation, product strategy, modern marketing, and AI strategy. He has co-authored seven management books, dozens of academic articles, 30 case studies, and several strategy simulations including CloudStrat and DigiStrat. He is a pioneer in online executive education. He has created 8 online executive courses on Digital Marketing, Product Management, Influencer Marketing and Artificial Intelligence.
His online courses have reached more than 14,000 executives worldwide. In 2021, he was ranked as 23rd in the list of top academic case writers in the world. He advises leading technology companies like Microsoft and Salesforce as well as 10 technology startups. He serves on the Board of Directors at Reliance Jio and Dhani Services. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Study for Business Markets (ISBM) at Penn State University and a member of the Advisory Board at Chicago Innovation. Prof. Sawhney holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from the IIM Calcutta, and a B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi.
